If you fancy cycling in the Chilterns the area has hundreds of miles of country roads and quiet lanes, perfect for exploring by bike.  Cycle directly from the Peacock or try following one of the following trails:

Chilterns Cycleway  A circular route using quiet lanes around the whole of the Chilterns, ideal for leisure cyclists, providing many choices for day rides.  www.chilternsaonb.org/cycleway

Chiltern Heritage Cycle Trail

Phoenix Trail, National Cycle Network Route 57
A seven mile flat route from Princes Risborough to Thame.

Icknield Way Riders Route
A 23 mile long distance route through the Chilterns; the route follows the oldest track in Britain, dating from Neolithic times (4,000-2,000 B.C)

Bledlow Circular Ride
A 10 mile circular ride passing through Chiltern countryside with fine open views

Wendover Woods Cycle Trails
6 miles mainly on forest tracks.  Routes signposted.

For mountain bike enthusiasts, the Aston Hill Moutain Bike Area, near Wendover Woods (about 20 minutes drive from the Peacock) has great off-road trails, with
